Dr Grant Duncan

Dr Duncan has been in specialty practice for over 25 years. He received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide. He subsequently went on to achieve his Master of Science in Orthodontics from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada. Dr Duncan brought Invisalign to Australia in year 2000, was one of the first Invisalign providers in Australia to be honoured with Black Diamond Provider status in January 2017. This is in recognition of his commitment to and clinical experience with Invisalign treatment. He is part of the national Invisalign accreditation team, lectures nationally and internationally on the Invisalign system, and is a clinical tutor on Invisalign within the graduate orthodontic program in the University of Adelaide. Dr Duncan is a member of the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons, and an invited member of both the prestigious Pierre Fauchard Academy of Dentistry, and the International College of Dentists. Dr Duncan has a wide range of clinical experience and interests, and is recognised as a global leader in Invisalign treatment. Dr Duncan holds a strong belief that Invisalign is a better and healthier alternative to braces, and that almost all adults and children can be treated with Invisalign. Early Invisalign treatment of children to allow for bite correction and arch development usually negates the need for braces and extractions at a later age.

 

Dr Seerone Anandarajah

Dr Seerone is a Registered Orthodontic Specialist with the Dental Board of Australia and has achieved Australasian Orthodontic Board (AOB) Certification. He holds professional memberships in several organisations, including:

• The Australian Society of Orthodontists
• Australian Orthodontic board
• The American Association of Orthodontists
• The Australian Orthodontic Begg Society
• The Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons

Dr Seerone moved to Adelaide from Brisbane in 2004 to pursue a career in dentistry and has since used his qualifications and experience to compliment his passion to improve the smiles of his patients. Dr Seerone achieved honours in Bachelor of Science in Dentistry and was awarded with a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in 2015, with his post-graduate research presented both nationally and internationally, as well as published in various international orthodontic journals.

Dr Seerone mentors undergraduate students in the area of Orthodontics at the University of Adelaide. He also enjoys keeping up to date with the latest techniques and innovations in orthodontics, and prides himself in not only being able to provide high quality treatment to his patients, but also making the journey to a wonderful smile as enjoyable as possible.

When not creating beautiful smiles at the Straight Smile Centre, Dr Seerone enjoys spending time with his wife, family and friends. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys watching the Adelaide Crows. His cooking skills are questionable, but he still tries anyway.

 

Dr Laura Duncan

We are thrilled to introduce Dr Laura Duncan, our new specialist orthodontist at Straight Smile Centre (Norwood & Mount Barker). After spending a decade overseas, Dr Duncan is returning to her hometown of Adelaide with her three young children to join our team from May.

Dr Duncan will be working alongside our existing Doctors to provide the highest level of orthodontic care to our valued patients.

Dr Duncan is an experienced orthodontist and specialist in Invisalign treatment. She follows in the footsteps of her father, Dr Grant Duncan, who is an internationally recognized Invisalign provider. With more than 12 years of experience in creating over 1,500 stunning Invisalign smiles, Dr Duncan has been awarded with the Diamond Apex status, which is awarded to the top 1% of providers. You can have confidence that your smile is in good hands with her.

With her vast experience treating patients on three continents and working alongside and being mentored by orthodontists from around the world, Dr Duncan is well-equipped to plan orthodontic treatments for children, teens, and adults to help them achieve the smile of their dreams.
